Places I'd Rather Be....

Don't get me wrong....I like my job, I love my little town, and my bed is the most comfortable in the world but on cold rainy days like today I can't help but think of places I'd rather be.  This has lead me to a day of reminiscing of vacations past....so I thought I'd share a couple pics with you all!

The first set of pics were taken during our Honeymoon!!!!

We took a cruise to the Bahamas for our Honeymoon.  It was so much fun and the Bahamas are beautiful!  Now....I may or may not have cried the first time Adam and I got off the boat.  I may nor may not have freaked out just a little bit because we had to walk through the woods to get to the beach and people just popped up out of nowhere trying to braid my hair.  I seriously freaked at first....I know....I know.  But anyway the hubby came to my rescue as he usually does and found an awesome little private island for us to go to where we got to do a sea lion encounter!

This was so much fun and the sea lions are so smart!

The next group of pics is from St. Thomas!!!!

We went to St. Thomas last October and word can not even begin to describe this place!  It is absolutely amazing!  We stayed at the Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort.  If you ever get the chance to stay here please do!  The resort is nothing less than awesome!

While looking on Groupon today I found another placed I'd rather be....Manihi Pearl Beach Resort – Tuamotu, French Polynesia.  This resort looks unbelievable!  I think a trip here would be a great gift from Santa!

Well loves I guess I should stop reiminiscing of places I'd rather be and start planning my evening!

Much Love,

So Many Adventures....

So I have so many adventures and stories that I want to catch everyone up on but I don’t even know where to begin!  I recently attended my 10 year high school reunion….gasp….I can’t believe I have been out of high school for 10 years!  Good thing I still feel like I am 21!!!!

Me with the Girls at the reunion (which I continue to call a graduation for some strange reason)

Last Saturday was the wedding of Natalie Houk and Jeremy Parker.  Natalie went to high school with Adam.  She was a beautiful bride!  Let me tell you the girl is LOVED!  The church was packed….there were so many people there the ushers had to place folding chairs along the back walls of the church.  The reception was beautiful and of course I had a fantastic time on the dance floor!

Oh you got to love the open mouth photos!  I always make fun of everyone who does this but someone it just keeps happening!

Everyone who knows me.....knows I am OBSESSED with dresses!  I have an entire closet devoted to my dresses!  Anyway....Adam's companies Christmas party is December 10 and I am beyond excited about the opportunity to buy an amazing holiday dress!  I have been searching everywhere for the perfect dress.  I have decided I want some sparkle and glitter of course!  Here are a few of the dresses that have made the maybe list so far....

What do you think?  Both dresses are by Scala.  I recently stumbled upon this brand and I am in love with their use of sequins and beading.  Let me know what you think!
I guess this all the adventure sharing I am going to do for today!  I hope to catch everyone up on the happenings in my life over the next several days!
Much Love,
Heather

Ready....Set....Blog!!!!

Hi Everyone!

So I have recently become obsessed with the blogging world!  So…I though why not start my own blog!  So there you have it!  Life as a Tall Blonde was born!

Let me give a little recap for those of you who don’t know me.  I’m a small town girl who moved to Lexington 8 years ago! I am a tom boy and a prissy girl all wrapped into one.  I LOVE shopping, makeup, decorating, painting my nails and everything girly!  I also LOVE camping, 4 wheeling, shooting guns, hunting….yes I said hunting….and everything not so girly!

I met the man of my dreams about a year after moving to Lexington and he is now my hubby!  Insert Adam!

I know girls....he's pretty awesome!

Adam and I have been married for a little over two years now.  We were blessed with the wedding I had always dreamed about at the Kentucky Horse Park (thanks mom and dad).

I will post more photos of the wedding later!

We both graduated from UK.  Adam in 2008 and me in 2010! We recently just bought our second home out in the country of Clark County!  We wanted to live in the country and boy did we ever move to the country!  We now have about a 45 minute drive to and from work every day.   We do not have children yet but we have 3 lovely fur babies….(yes for those of you who always ask….we do plan to have kids of our own one day….just not today).

Here are some pictures of our fur babies!

This is Barkley our Boxer!  He is the #1 Big Dog.

This would be Deuce the Doberman….he joined our family in April of this year.

And last but DEFINITELY not LEAST is Miley our Great Dane.

This brings me to a sad update….I lost my Mouse Girls this year.  Mouse was the best fur baby and best friend a girl could ever ask for.  She was my princess and she knew it!

Isn't she the cutest thing ever!  I think so!  I will have many Mouse stories to share with you from time to time I'm sure.
I am so excited about starting this blog and sharing my life with everyone!  I have so many stories to catch you all up on!  Please come back to visit often and spread the word to all of your friends!
